Campland on the Bay offers the most amenities and recreational facilities of any camping resort in the San Diego area.

CAMPLAND ROCKS DURING THE SUMMER SEASON
Campland on the Bay is known for its live entertainment and planned activities hosted daily for our resort guests. Our seasonal concert series, Campland Rocks, returns Memorial Day Weekend 2024!
Pools & Spas – 2 + 2
Double the fun with Campland’s two pools and two spas. Whether it’s a family fun time at the pool or a refreshing dip after a bike ride around the bay, Campland has two sparkling pools waiting! Stay awhile, relax or sunbathe – there are sunny and shaded areas as well as umbrellas, loungers, and tables by the pools. One pool is shallower and designed for younger children.
If you’ve been out on the beach all day or just taken a Yoga on the Bay class, rinse off and indulge yourself in a spa/hot tub. Campland offers two hot tubs in the pool area, including the ever-popular horseshoe hot tub. Relax your muscles, improve your circulation and sleep even better at night!
Hours: 9 am – 9 pm daily. This amenity is for resort guests.
Relaxing Public Beach
Bring your beach chairs, umbrellas, sunscreen, and floats. Because of its location in Mission Bay, the beach at Campland enjoys calm, low-wake waters. Pacific Beach, Ocean Beach, and Mission Beach are nearby if you want to surf and catch waves.
The public beach offers a designated swimming area with a swim platform. Many of our campers bring their floats, paddle boards, and kayaks and launch right from the beach.
Beach Rules: Please refrain from bringing glass, tents, or motorized vehicles to the beach. All personal canopies and personal property must be removed from the beach between 8 pm and 8 am.
Free Coastal Access Public Parking – Campland offers 31 complimentary public parking spaces including four EV charging stations available daily on a first-come, first-serve basis for members of the general public accessing the beach at Campland. These spaces are not available for staff, campers, or other patrons. Public Parking window placards can be attained at the hospitality station near the entrance gate and help our staff confirm that these spaces remain available only for beach access by the general public.
Huff N Puff Park
Our youngest campers can climb, slide and swing in a fenced-in playground just for them! Designed for all-day fun, Huff N Puff Park has all of the “chutes & ladders” they need plus:
- Swings
- Tunnels
- Play Structure
- Picnic Tables
- Other Kids ready to have fun
The climbing wall and monkey bars on the state-of-the-art play structure also keep big brothers and sisters happy!

Huff n’ Buff Gym
Just in case you are unable to get enough exercise outside, we have the Huff n’ Buff Gym.
The gym offers:
- Cardio equipment
- Weight machines
- Rowing machine

Basketball & Sports Court
Campland on the Bay has a host of recreational amenities, including the Campland basketball court. It may be a half-court, but it gets plenty of action.
You may see campers playing games like:

- Dodgeball

Campland Loves Dogs
Don’t leave your best friend at home! Campland is famously dog-friendly. Dogwood Park at Campland is a landscaped, off-leash paradise for your pets. With the fresh bay air, real grass, and sprawling trees, your dogs will never want to leave (just like their owners). Meet fellow campers and dog-lovers at Dogwood Park and watch the friendly dogs play.
This amenity is for resort guests and their dogs.
Special Events and Activities
Pet Costume Contests are very popular with our Campers. Halloween, Christmas, and Easter are awesome days to show off your beloved pooch. And, of course, there are prizes.
No worries if you run low on pet supplies; the Campland Market has a full stock of pet food, treats, and even toys to keep your pet happy.
Dog Policy
Campland’s 50+ years’ experience, as well as standard industry practice, support the prohibition of specific dog breeds at our family-friendly campground.
Our pet policy strives to strike a balance between care and comfort of pets and people and is more permissive than experts recommend.
At Campland on the Bay, we are proud to be one of the most dog-friendly RV resorts in the nation! Our canine campers are socialized and well-behaved so they can take part in all the family fun on the bay.

Campland Video Arcade
Get in the game at Campland with state-of-the-art video games as well as classic arcade entertainment. At the Campland Game Room, campers of all ages enjoy fun and prizes.
The younger kids and teens love their independent play at the Game Room, while parents can enjoy some bonding time next door at the Campland Cantina. They know their kids are nearby, and happy. The whole family can meet up again for snacks or ice cream before the next adventure.

San Diego is host to a wide variety of attractions, from Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo, to the Gaslamp Quarter or Old Towne, there is plenty to discover. Just outside Campland is Pacific Beach, a quaint beach town with restaurants, shops, the beach scene and pier, and more.
